A SHEFFIELD photographer is opening his first major exhibition on Saturday based around Britain’s most famous prehistoric monument.
Bill Bevan, from Walkley, followed archaeologists working on the Stonehenge Riverside Project, led by Prof Mike Parker-Pearson from Sheffield University. The photos capture the feelings and emotions of the archaeologists as they work, and document finds such as an antler pick.
Bill, artist in residence at the university, said: “It was an amazing experience working in the shadow of Stonehenge.”
The free exhibition runs at The Manchester Museum until July 17.
