A MOTORCYCLIST killed in a collision on a Peak District road was a 46-year-old South Yorkshire man, police said.
Derbyshire Police said the biker died at the scene of the smash, on the A621 north of Clodhall Lane, near Baslow, at about 2.15pm on Thursday.
The motorcyclist, who was riding a Triumph 1050cc bike, was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira car travelling in the opposite direction.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was dispatched but Derbyshire Police confirmed the victim died from his injuries before he could be taken to hospital.
The Zafira driver was unhurt, police said.
A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Police said: “We are investigating the collision and are calling for any witnesses to come forward.”
