Biker fights for life after lorry collision

A MOTORCYCLIST was fighting for life this morning after coming off his bike in a collision with a lorry.

The 55-year-old was riding on the southbound carriageway on the A57 near Worksop when he was involved in the smash between the Sainsbury’s and St Anne’s roundabouts at 11.50pm last night.

Police said the biker was rushed to Bassetlaw Hospital in a life threatening condition.

He suffered chest injuries a broken arm and suspected broken pelvis.

Police closed the road until around 7am to carry out investigations at the scene and to allow the recovery of the vehicles involved.
