A YOUTH has been arrested in connection with a serious motorbike crash in Carcroft, Doncaster, last month which left a man with life-threatening injuries.
The 24-year-old motorbike rider was not wearing a helmet when his Yamaha machine collided with a people carrier on Chestnut Avenue in early June.
He suffered serious head injuries and was on a life support machine after the crash.
A boy of 13 who was also on the bike escaped with less serious injuries and was discharged from hospital the next day.
Police have confirmed a 14-year-old boy was arrested earlier this week in connection with the collision.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said yesterday: “A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the serious collision that happened in Carcroft, Doncaster, on June 7. The boy, from the local area, was arrested on Monday, July 25, and released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
