Sheffield United will be on a high after stunning Premier League Fulham in the last minute of extra-time on Tuesday.

But while it wouldn’t be as big a scalp, defeating Shrewsbury at Bramall Lane tomorrow could turn out to be a more significant result for the Blades in the wider scheme of things given that the visitors are one of their rivals in the battle for League One survival.

Encouragingly, BetVictor make Nigel Clough’s troops odds-on favourites at 4/5 for three valuable points while a hugely damaging defeat is a 4/1 shot at Skybet and Stan James post 13/5 against a frustrating stalemate.

As only a point separates the teams, the latter could prove popular alongside bet365’s 4/1 for it to end in a score draw and a 1-1 scoreline, available at odds of 7/1 courtesy of Ladbrokes.

You can also back United at 3/10 in Stan James’s ‘Draw No Bet’ market but with a reasonably solid home record, Clough’s men should ultimately have too much for a Shrews team arriving on the back of six defeats in eight.

Also in League One, Rotherham are just 21/20 at betway to enhance their chances of finishing in the play-off places by returning from mid-table Colchester with a maximum haul.

Sheffield Wednesday are a healthy six points clear of danger following the derby victory over Barnsley but despite an unbeaten run stretching back 10 matches in all competitions, Stuart Gray’s side are as high as 18/5 with BetVictor to rack up another victory at Reading.

The play-off chasing hosts are bet365’s 5/6 favourites at the Madejski Stadium, where William Hill price the pair at 5/2 to share the spoils and in the handicaps, travelling fans can back Wednesday at even money when kicking off a goal to the good in bet365’s handicaps. Alternatively, more optimistic fans can tackle Winner.com’s 14/1 about them grabbing the only goal for the second week in a row.

Despite enjoying home advantage, Barnsley are BetVictor’s 85/40 underdogs as they prepare to face Ipswich and also outsiders, this time at 6/1 via Paddy Power, are Doncaster, who visit Brighton. Finally in League Two, Chesterfield are 7/4 with BetVictor to win their promotion battle at Scunthorpe.
