Teenager Arabella White may not be Miss England - but she is delighted to have made the top 50.
Arabella, of Sandtoft, near Dncaster, missed out on the top 20 in the final of Miss England in Southport yesterday.
But the 18-year-old is proud of her high finish in the national contest, which attracted 26,000 contestants from across the country.
She won the South Yorkshire contest.
She said: “There was a top five, and a top 20, but I didn’t make those. But I was in the top 50, and that was out of 26,000 who entered.
“Now I’m considering whether to enter next year. The winner this year was aged 20, and I think they wanted someone who had that bit more experience.”
“Now I’ll see what my A level results are like, and may go to university.”
She is also considering taking time out to do some work experience on a television show, with a possible opportunity to work on the Jeremy Kyle show through a relative who knows the presenter.
