FOOd, drink and a singalong were on the menu at the first anniversary party of a Rotherham befriending service.
The bash was held to mark the first year of Two’s Company - a service run by Age UK as part of the Rotherham Less Lonely Campaign.
The organisation was set up to provide one-to-one befriending support and companionship to older people in the town who are affected by loneliness or feeling isolated.
A total of 33 volunteers have joined the service in the last year and over 70 older people have already benefited from their support.
The group has also offered days out to places including Rotherham United.
Lesley Dabell, chief executive of Age UK Rotherham said: ‘We are very proud of the work our staff and volunteers have done this year to make Two’s Company such a resounding success.”
