Residents in Barnsley are being invited to get involved in the Love Where You Live campaign.
The campaign aims to raise the profile of the valuable work volunteers are doing in communities across the borough, promote volunteering opportunities and make it as easy for people to get involved.
Throughout the summer there will be hundreds of volunteer opportunities including planting flowers, clearing litter and helping to promote the Tour de France.
Barnsley Council leader, Coun Sir Steve Houghton, said: “Love where you live aims to encourage and enable people who haven’t volunteered before to get involved and see what a difference sparing a couple of hours can make in their communities.”
