A photographer has launched a new style of boudoir shoot that transforms women into their favourite female icons, past or present.

Helen Booth, of Masque Photography, kick-started her Icon Shoots by putting Barnsley lifestyle blogger Katie Portman in the frame as Italian screen siren Monica Bellucci.

The 34-year-old said although she was nervous about whether she would do her beauty icon justice during the shoot, she actually found that trying to be Monica helped her to feel more comfortable in her own skin.

“The great thing about the Icon Shoot is that it enables you to take on the persona of someone else,” said Helen, who runs her business in Barnsley. “You can embody their personal qualities and pretend to be them, which I think many women will find comforting and inspiring.

“Seeing Katie’s transformation with her makeover and creating the images was so much fun and I can’t wait to see which icon will walk into my studio next.”
