Big Band musicians swung into Sheffield Town Hall where a civic reception was held in their honour after performing at a concert which raised £7,800 for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Fund.
Sheffield-based veteran band leader Keith Peters and his musicians played to an audience of more than 900 people during the event at the City Hall in February.
It was the first time 82-year-old Keith had played Sheffield’s biggest stage.
Lord Mayor, Coun Sylvia Dunkley, is supporting charities Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind and the British Heart Foundation.
She said: “I’m grateful to Sheffield City Hall for all their support and, of course, to Keith’s fantastic band.
“I know the charities are delighted with the amount that’s been raised.”
