Balloons take to the skies

DEMENTIA charity Lost Chord is reaching for the skies with its latest fundraising campaign.

The charity, which provides interactive musical experiences for people struggling with dementia in care homes and day centres across South Yorkshire, wants to raise more than £100,000 with it’s High Notes appeal, supported by opera star patron Lesley Garrett.

The latest event in the High Notes calendar is a Grand Balloon Race which will take to the skies above Sheffield city centre on Saturday, July 16.

The balloons, which cost £2 each, will be released on Devonshire Green in Sheffield city centre between 2pm and 4pm.

There will be cash prizes for those whose balloons travel the longest distance before floating back down to earth.
