BAKEWELL SHOW: What a success - SLIDESHOW
ORGANISERS of Bakewell Show declared the whole event an overwhelming success and were delighted at the number of people who turned out to see the massive range of animals, stands and attractions.
Bakewell Chamber of Trade chairman Roger Lowsborough believes the show is an important chance to attract people to the area and display all that is good about the rural community.
He said: "We are trying to promote the small, independent businesses in our market towns and encourage people to come and shop with them because they are at risk.
"Bakewell has always been a popular tourist town drawing from all over the country, but our immediate market is obviously the Sheffield area and our immediate message is come and support us."
