Designers in Sheffield are to celebrate Yorkshire Day with the launch of a special badge.
House of Logos, of Attercliffe Road, Attercliffe, is launching the Friend of Yorkshire badge tomorrow, on Yorkshire Day.
The enamel badge – depicting the white rose of Yorkshire with ‘Friend of Yorkshire’ underneath – is aimed at individuals and businesses to present to visitors to ‘show what a friendly and great place Yorkshire is to visit, live and do business’.
Mark Elliott, House of Logos director, said: “Yorkshire attracts more than 216 million visits each year, worth more than £7 billion, many from overseas, and all keen to witness the friendliness of Yorkshire people and experience the wide diversity of the county.
“Many of those visitors take home a piece of Yorkshire, whether it’s Whitby jet, Sheffield steel or Yorkshire rhubarb. Now they can now wear a piece of Yorkshire!
“This is a fantastic way for individuals and organisations to show their pride in Yorkshire, especially for the major influx of visitors to the county next year for the Tour de France.”
Yorkshire Day aims to celebrate and promote the county.
