FIVE Rotherham parks have kept their prestigious Green Flag awards which reward green spaces which are welcoming and well looked-after.
Clifton, Bradgate, Rawmarsh Rosehill, Rother Valley and Thrybergh parks have all retained the national accolades after inspections.
Each was scored on whether it is a welcoming place; is healthy, safe and secure; clean and well maintained; uses environmentally-friendly practices and protects its conservation and heritage.
For each park, managers also had to demonstrate how they encouraged local community involvement.
Coun Amy Rushforth, Rotherham Council cabinet member for culture and tourism, said: “Our green spaces staff and rangers must be congratulated because their hard work and dedication has really paid off and has resulted in Rotherham being successful in these awards once again.”
