Sheffield Heeley MP Meg Munn has received an award for her campaign to introduce regular eye tests for motorists.
Road safety charity Brake and Direct Line named Labour MP Ms Munn the Road Safety Parliamentarian of the Month.
Ms Munn began her work in 2009, after being contacted by constituent Joy Barnes whose niece Fiona Buckley was run over and killed as she crossed the road by a driver with defective eyesight.
Her campaign also aims to raise awareness among drivers of the importance of getting their eyes tested at least every two years. Over the past two years, Meg has lobbied ministers and she pledged to continue until the law is changed.
