Average Sheffielder is overweight, says slimming club
THE average Sheffield resident is clinically overweight, according to figures released by a leading slimming club.
The information from Slimming World shows the average Sheffielder has a body mass index of 27, when the healthy range is between 18 and 25.
Now the club has launched a Let's Beat It Together campaign to help people lose weight.
The campaign launches on Monday and people can register until March 6 for the 12-week programme at a discount rate.
