A SHEFFIELD Council Community Assembly is gearing up for its last ever meeting.

Members of the public are invited to the South West assembly meeting this Thursday, at Wesley Hall Methodist Church, Crookes, from 7pm.

Items on the agenda include any public questions and petitions about local issues, and a presentation of the assembly’s achievements over the last four years.

The assembly, which covers Crookes, Dore and Totley, Ecclesall and Fulwood, is one of seven being axed by Sheffield Council as the authority makes £50m of cuts in 2013/14.
