RESIDENTS at two Sheffield care homes are to receive very special visits - from a donkey - next Wednesday!

The donkey will trot into Eagle House in Stalker Lees Road, and Prior Bank on Cherry Tree Road, where he will meet residents as part of their ‘day at the seaside’.

Activities coordinator Sue Benson said: “Not only do we have the donkey visiting, we also have a packed day of fun.

“Sue Sides, our catering manager, will be providing a fish and chip lunch followed by ice cream cones. In the afternoon there will be fun in the garden with sandcastles, a coconut shy and giant skittles.”

Eagle House manager Joanne Thornhill said: “We hope that the day will entice our customers to go out into the garden to promote their physical and mental wellbeing.”
