Art aid for community

SHOPPERS are being urged to vote for a piece of art in a South Yorkshire store - with the winner scooping £1,000 for a community project

The O2 store in the Meadowhall has opened voting. Three local artists rose to O2's challenge to create a piece of art on the theme of 'A world is a better place when communities are connected'.

Projects in the running are RIG, a group that meets every Wednesday and discuss better ways to live, Sugar, who go into schools and talk about the dangers of homelessness and LEAF, which promotes healthy eating to people most in need.
