South Yorkshire firefighters dealt with a series of blazes all started deliberately overnight.

In the early hours of today they were called out to Dinnington, Rotherham, to deal with a wheelie bin set alight in Laughton Road and a shed torched in nearby Paterson Road.

Just after midnight they dealt with a pile of rubbish set alight in Spinkhill Avenue, Woodthorpe, Sheffield and more rubbish in Cemetery Road, Barnsley.

Tree cuttings and rubbish were set on fire in Carr Lane, Ulley, Rotherham, last night along with grassland in Yews Lane, Kendray, Barnsley.

South Yorkshire firefighters dealt with a series of blazes all started deliberately.

Over the weekend they also dealt with a house set alight in Hall Villa Lane, Toll Bar, Doncaster.

Builders are currently working at the property.

A stable was torched in Sheffield Road, Birdwell, Barnsley; an outbuilding was set alight in Stacey Drive, Thrybergh, Rotherham; rubbish was burnt in Lindholme Bank Lane, Hatfield Woodhouse, Doncaster and a car was fired in Commercial Road, Goldthorpe, Barnsley.
