SHARROW Summer Fete is taking place on Sunday when the Old Junior School will play host to entertainment, creativity and crafts.
Visitors to the South View Road venue can browse stalls selling locally-made crafts and produce, and people can get their creative juices flowing by getting involved in a ‘bag art’ competition.
There is also the chance to decorate a cloth bag and enter it into an auction that will be held in September with the opportunity to have the design printed and reproduced.
Other attractions at the fete include meditation, body and face painting, Islamic tile painting, craft workshops, children’s zumba dancing, plus sales of handmade clothing and vintage clothes.
All events will be in the playground, which will be open from noon until 4pm. Attractions will be moved indoors if it rains. Entrance is £1 for adults and 50p per child.
