AN ARCHITECT bounced back with his own business after being made redundant.

Daniel Smith, aged 38, from Sheffield, has achieved his ambition of setting up his own architectural and design practice.

The business – called The Architecture Factory – was set up with financial backing and help from the New Enterprise Allowance and Sheffield Enterprise Agency.

Daniel, who has taught at Sheffield Hallam University, said: “I had always wanted to open my own practice at some point, however circumstances around my job forced me to strike out, on my own a little earlier than I had originally planned. I was given first class business advice. My business is developing and I am confident that it will be a success.”
