THERE’S no better grounding for a craftsman than to serve a good old-fashioned apprenticeship.
And that’s precisely what these Sheffield lads did when they signed up to become electrical apprentices.
Now, after much hard work and determination, they’re beginning to reap the rewards of their efforts and have each received a prize to prove it.
The apprentices took top awards at the South Yorkshire Employer Training Forum ceremony at the Brinsworth Pavilion in Rotherham.
Keiran Murray is employed by Photuris Ltd, Matthew Livesey by Moorwood Electrical Design and Installation, John Hackett by MEC Sheffield Ltd, and Sam Ronskley by Richmond Energy.
Each of the lads received a trophy, a framed certificate and £100.
