EMPLOYERS across Sheffield are being urged to put young trainees forward for the National Apprenticeship Awards.
There is just under a month to go until the deadline for nominations for this year’s honours.
Workplaces can nominate employees in intermediate, advanced and higher apprentice categories, while businesses can also put themselves forward in the employer of the year categories.
Last year, Sheffield’s Tata Steel was highly commended as large employer of the year in the regional round.
David Way, chief executive of the National Apprenticeship Service, said: “The awards recognise the success of employers in growing their own talent and developing a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce and the crucial role skills play in helping individuals develop fulfilling careers. Entering is an opportunity for employers and individuals to gain the recognition they richly deserve for building the national skills base.”
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in November. Visit apprenticeships.org.uk/awards for more information on how to enter.
