A £20,000 appeal has been launched to record the activity and restore the habitats of otters, which have been spotted living alongside the River Don in Sheffield.

The elusive creatures have been sighted at locations stretching from Middlewood to the river banks near Meadowhall. The appeal has been set up by the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust. Money will be used to buy camera traps and improve wetland areas. Visit www.wildsheffield.com for more information.
