Have your say

A plea for help has been issued by a concerned Sheffield resident who fears this Sheffield flat may be getting flooded in the rain.

The letter writer who got in touch with The Star said: “Hi, I am not sure if you will be able to help but I live in Crookes opposite the building pictured in the attached photos.

“The Veluxe window in the photo has been open to the elements since Wednesday this week. We believe the flat is empty.

“Could I appeal through your paper for anyone who knows the owner of the flat to let them know about the open window as with the recent bad weather and more forecast to come, there is a danger that the flat will be damaged and that the rain could affect the electrics in the building.”

UPDATE: The original writer of the letter has now been in touch to say the window has been closed. Thanks to all those who helped.
