Railway detectives have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to after another woman was attacked at Doncaster station.

Investigators believe the woman pictured may have information about the incident, which took place around 6.30pm on Thursday, February 7.

The victim, an 18-year-old from Doncaster, was approached in the station car park by a mixed group of youths.

Det Insp Mick Jackson, investigating the incident, said: “One of the girls in the group suddenly punched the victim and dragged her to the floor.

“As a result of the attack, the victim was left with facial bruising and cuts, and some of her teeth were loosened.”

An in-depth investigation is being conducted into the incident by detectives and officers have been working speaking with witnesses. Images have also been circulated to other forces and on police intelligence systems, but to no avail so far.

DI Jackson addd: “I have taken the unusual step of releasing an image of a woman I believe may have information that could assist us in this investigation.

“If you recognise the woman pictured, or if you are the woman herself, I urge you to come forward as we’d like to hear from you.”
