The chief executive of Yorkshire Ambulance Service has stepped down from his post.

David Whiting joined the trust four years ago.

His job will be covered by his current deputy Rod Barnes, who is executive director of finance and performance, until a permanent replacement is recruited.

Mr Whiting said he’d been ‘proud’ to lead the organisation which had a ‘fantastic team of dedicated people committed to delivering the best possible services for patients’.
