Construction work at Dronfield Air Training Corps’ new training centre is on course to be completed by early autumn.
The centre, which will be used by 1890 Dronfield Squadron, is being built on the same site as its former training hut and is due to have the roof added this summer.
Martin Capewell, of the East Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, said: “We are happy with the way in which the works are going on site.
“The site is fairly small but we have been able to construct a modern building including a training hall, lecture rooms and storage facilities which will be used by cadets and their adult volunteers for years to come. “We seem on track for the cadets to move in later this year.”
