I THINK that Monica’s article (Jan 15) just about sums up British attitudes to going abroad and how we are perceived by other nationals.
To me, the experiences of different cultures, people and food are what makes a holiday. Why do some people expect to eat just as they do at home?
A good cup of tea or chips are of no interest to me (I don’t have either) but, a tasty meal of something new, does.
If the fish and chips brigade don’t like what is on offer (after they have tasted it) then learn by experience and leave it alone, but do not expect other countries to pander to English eating habits.
