COULD you be a duck and offer Drake a loving home?
Drake is an adorable black and tan cross-breed who came to the RSPCA Sheffield Branch very underweight and feeling sorry for himself.
But he has rallied round really well and this bubbly chap is now ready to start afresh.
RSPCA Sheffield Branch Animal Care Manager Tony Benham said: “Drake is an bundle of joy who was extremely emaciated when he was brought into us and we have to wonder what sad circumstances he suffered.
“Fortunately, we got to Drake just in time and he’s come on in leaps and bounds.
“About six years old, he has a steady and mature nature but he’ll now need the loving care he was sadly lacking.
“He still has a bit more weight to put on but we can advise the best food to help him regain his proper weight and to tempt him to eat.
“Drake needs to be the only pet in his household as he is very people-focused and he isn’t overly keen on other animals.
“He loves to play with his squeaky toy and to play fetch with his tennis ball.
“If his new family have children, those over the age of 12 would be best.
“In an ideal world, Drake would be best suited to owners willing to continue his training around other animals and where he won’t be left too long on his own as he enjoys company.
“In return, he is ready and willing to give you all his canine love and attention and to have loads of fun with you.
