The hardship of going two weeks without a boiler needs no explanation.
But not knowing when it will be fixed makes it even harder to bear.
Catherine Ballwood, of Mandeville Street, Darnall, called The Star after Kier, which handles council house repairs, said it was still waiting for parts.
A spokeswoman for Kier said: “We have now fixed Mrs Ballwood’s boiler, which required a part that we did not have in stock at the time of the inspection.
“We take full responsibility for the delay in fixing it, which was due to miscommunication on our behalf.”
