AN UNAUTHORISED rear extension to a restaurant could have to be removed under enforcement action proposed by Sheffield Council.

Planning officers say the single-storey timber structure at The Caspian Restaurant, Abbeydale Road, was built without planning permission.

Officers say it is built of ‘poor quality’ materials and ‘detracts from the appearance of the street’.

Enforcement action ordering the extension be removed is set to be approved by the council’s city centre, south and east planning board.
