More than 300 students from across the region have been recognised for their outstanding achievements in an award ceremony at the University of Sheffield.
During the past two years youngsters from eight Sheffield schools demonstrated a range of skills needed to be successful in fields such as employment, further education, training organisations and university.
To receive an achievement award, pupils had to excel in all areas, have 93 per cent attendance, 95 per cent punctuality and take part in career planning activities such as going on work experience.
Two graduation-style award ceremonies, were held at the University of Sheffield’s Octagon Centre.
Kate Smith, outreach activities officer from the University of Sheffield, said: “We have been working with these young people for the last two years, encouraging them to achieve challenging goals.
“It is a huge honour and privilege to welcome them and their family members to the University and celebrate this success together.”
University students presented the awards.
