An ACADEMIC from Sheffield University is presenting a new television series exploring current research into the human body and the Welsh population.
Dr Katie Hemer, from the University of Sheffield’s Department of Archaeology, from Old Colwyn, is a fluent Welsh speaker and will be co-presenting the series Corff Cymru - The Welsh Body.
The programme starts on Welsh language channel S4C today.
Dr Hemer will meet researchers looking into different aspects of the body, including the circulatory system and the effect of bilingualism on the brain.
She said: “Filming the series has been brilliant as I’ve had the chance to communicate my own research.”
