YOUNGSTERS from Sheffield look set to have helped break a world record for the most people signing and singing a song simultaneously.

Schools across the city took part in the sign2sing event organised by the charity SignHealth on Wednesday afternoon.

Lee Garbutt, headteacher at Acres Hill Primary School in Darnall, said: “It’s very exciting to think our students might be part of a world record.”

More than 135,000 children are thought to have taken part worldwide.
