CAT burglars who broke into a Doncaster house through the roof left the building with gold-plated Elvis Presley records.
The discs of the king of rock’n’roll had been framed on the wall of the property in Moorends.
Police are appealing for information about the burglary, which happened when entry was gained to the house on Bloom Hill Grove.
The burglars gained access by climbing onto the roof and taking tiles off at the rear of the property before squeezing through into the loft area. They then used the loft hatch to get into the rest of the house.
Jewellery was stolen as well as the three distinctive gold-plated Elvis Presley discs in frames.
PC Steven Freestone, who is investigating the burglary, said: “We believe the offenders will have been watching the property and that this was a targeted burglary as the occupant was on holiday when it occurred. I would urge anyone with any information to please come forward.”
Anyone with information about the break-in, between 7pm on July 5 and 10am on July 6, is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020 quoting incident 346 of July 5, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
