A few words about tree felling

Have your say

I am writing in support of the residents on Rustlings Road, as the trees on my road were chopped down.

In fact I wrote a few words down about it.

They said the trees were protected

By some sort of by law

But when they came down our street

They chopped down with a chainsaw

The council came and checked the trees

Said that they had a disease

Put a poster on the wall

Condemned the trees

They had to fall

High viz came with their saws

Chopped the trees to the floor

Some people put up a fight

But the council said they had the right

Cut them up and took them away

Nothing left it was a miserable day

The streets no longer got many trees

No birds perching in their leaves

What a loss they are no more

Just a space where they stood before

Condemned the trees they had to fall

What a loss they are no more

Just a space where they stood before

Said that they had to fall

Chopped them down with a chainsaw.
