THEY’RE blowing in the New Year!

Members of the historic Woodhouse Prize Band were kept busy playing a packed programme of concerts over the festive season.

Venues included a performance at Dobbies Garden Centre in Barlborough, Chesterfield, two dates at Crystal Peaks shopping centre in Beighton, and on their home turf of Woodhouse an outdoor performance for supermarket shoppers heading in and out of the Co-op store on Chapel Street, a double date at St James Church, and a concert at Trinity Church.

The busy village band - formed in 1853 - is available for bookings and is also on the lookout for new members to try out for a place. Call Gemma Grayson on 0114 245 1142 or 07870 357 326.

Rehearsals take place on Thursdays and Sundays. Log onto www.woodhouseprizeband.org.uk for more information about the band.
