PUPILS from a city school gave Sheffield Children’s Hospital a timely boost with a bumper cheque for over £2,500.
Youngsters from Sheffield High School’s junior department presented the cheque to hospital mascot Theo the Bear.
The cash was amassed through a variety of fundraising events, including a book and toy sale and a dressing-up session for World Book Day.
Donations were collected at netball matches, at a carol service and during a special charity afternoon.
