It's anybody's guess who will be crowned Pop Idol, even those with insider knowledge say tonight's final is just too close to call.
Take Sheffield's very own Pop Idol wannabe Jade Hewitt for instance.
Jade, came through the auditions beating off 20
,000 other pop hopefuls to claim one of the last 50 places in the hit TV show.
She lost out to Michelle but was offered another chance in the wildcard show when she lost out again - this time to Mark.
Now the 16-year-old, from Woodhouse Road, Intake, reckons either one could win.
"I still keep in touch with Michelle and Mark and consider both to be friends. So I can't say I really have a favourite.
"Both have something to offer Michelle has a great voice and Mark a great personality and look.
"He's a real hit with the girls and gets a massive vote even though he has given a couple of weak performances.
"It will be very, very close and could go either way. But my mum says Michelle will win and she's usually spot on when it comes to picking the winner." Jade's favourite to lift the crown, 17-year-old Sam Nixon, of Monk Bretton, Barnsley, fell at the last hurdle - and like just about everyone else she was left feeling a little deflated.
"Sam should have won, I believe he has everything it takes to be a Pop Idol and he's a Yorkshire lad to boot, so you can't ask for more than that.
"I was shocked when he went out but that's been the way in this series - you just never know which way the vote will go."
Since Pop Idol, Jade, a former pupil at City School, has been in the recording studio and is currently looking forward to starting a performing arts course next year.
And she plans to try out again the next time Pop Idol comes around.
But at the moment she's doing something a bit more seasonal.
"I've been particularly busy during the past few weeks," said Jade. "I'm helping out at the Santa's grotto in Meadowhall."
Pop Idol is on ITV1 at 6.45pm.
