THE Chairman of Trustees at St Luke's Hospice has raised more than £6,000 by trekking the full 190 miles of the famous Wainwright Coast to Coast Walk.
Retired solicitor Andrew Coombe took up the challenge with friends Peter and Jackie Lowe, setting off from St Bees Head in Cumbria and arriving 16 days later in Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire.

"I always said that when I retired I would do the
Coast to Coast walk," said Andrew.

"It's quite a challenge because it's the equivalent of walking the distance of a half marathon every day for 16 days and climbing and descending 24,000ft," said Andrew.
