A DEVASTATED wife today paid tribute to her husband who died following a road smash in Sheffield.
Robert Allan, aged 47, of High Cliffe Drive, Greystones, was travelling along Ringinglow Road, Ringinglow, on Saturday May 3 when he was thrown from his Kawasaki bike.

Today his wife Jayne said: "Bob was a loving husband of Jayne and devoted daddy of Christian, aged 10.

"Bob was a person who always did his best for everyone - our lives have been devastated by his loss."

Mr Allan was travelling towards Sheffield and is believed to have swerved and collided with an oncoming red Renault Clio. He was taken to the Northern General Hospital suffering from head and chest injuries, but later died.

The 64-year-old Sheffield man who was driving the Clio escaped unhurt.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles before the incident is asked to ring the South Yorkshire Police accident witness helpline on 0114 220 2970.
