PASSENGERS travelling between Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool are advised to avoid East Midlands Trains this Sunday.
The firm says it is unable to provide a full regional train service because of a protest by Nottingham-based drivers. A spokesman said some staff were making themselves 'unavailable' for work because a driver was sacked for what management say was a
serious breach of safety regulations.
Services between Sheffield and London St. Pancras will run as usual. But a revised timetable, with some trains replaced by buses will run on the Norwich-Liverpool, and Nottingham- Skegness routes.
