A SOUTH Yorkshire couple who became embroiled in a sex scandal while filming the TV show Wife Swap have launched a scathing attack on their opposite numbers after the allegations were dropped.
Millionaire Robin Goforth and fiancee Noelie Klineberg were stunned when the woman who swapped lives with Noelie made claims against one of Robin's friends – only to retract them days later.
Now Noelie has revealed the show was actually halted becau
se her temporary husband, an eco-warrior from Bath, kicked her out.
She told The Star: "The claims didn't come until a week after filming stopped. Her husband called it off because he couldn't live with me any more."
Programme rules insist the women who swap places adopt the other's life for five days before getting to impose their own regime in week two.
Noelie, who has had £30,000 plastic surgery, said: "This family were the kind of people who walk round supermarkets taking the wrappers off everything. They were having a go at me for drinking Coca-Cola.
"One day they asked me to go pick blackberries for their muffins. I said, 'God, haven't you heard of Asda?'
"Anyway, their house was filthy, so for the changeover I bleached the floors and used a whole bottle of Chanel No. 5 bodywash to clean the toilet.
"I'd even bought some nice leopard-skin cushions to glam up their house.
"But then he comes in and says, 'Noelie, I've got something to tell you'. He said he couldn't go on with it any more because I'd been derogatory."
Filming was abandoned and it was not until eight days later that allegations of a sexual assault in Doncaster were made.
Noelie said: "I have known the friend concerned for 30 years and he is a true gentleman who would never do anything like this. The woman had a chaperone with her all the time and the film crew was always there. Plus she had microphones on so everything would have been picked up.
"We think the allegations were just a ploy to stop the programme being screened."
Self-made millionaire Robin, aged 57, and Noelie, 37, were asked to appear on the show after proving popular on ITV's Flash Families earlier this year.
Noelie now wants to put the experience behind her and is back at the couple's plush home in Bessacarr.
Channel 4 say they have yet to decide if the television show will be aired.
South Yorkshire Police refused to comment on the saga.
