A SOUTH Yorkshire bride enjoyed a real fairytale wedding - complete with a cast of cartoon characters.
Sam Carpenter, aged 29, swept up the aisle dressed as Cinderella and was given away by her dad Paul, 49, kitted out as lovable movie ogre Shrek.
Bridgegroom Lee Scothern, 36, kept up the fancy dress theme by tying the knot as Prince Charming, before changing into an Evel Knievel costume and riding into the reception astride a motorbike.
The couple's seven-year-old son Finlay came as pantomime character Buttons while daughter Summer, five, was dressed as Peter Pan's fairy pal Tinkerbell.
Sam and Lee chose the fancy dress theme for their big day at Rawmarsh, Rotherham, to thank Sheffield Children's Hospital for the care it gives Finlay who has had limb construction treatment.
The couple collected £400 for toys at the hospital.
Student nurse Sam said: "We just thought it would be fun and it turned out really well. The outfits were just amazing."
Most of the 300 guests also arrived in fancy dress costumes including Ali G, Zorro, Dracula, a nun, and Roman gladiators.
The bride's chauffeur was dressed as a gingerbread man and her bridesmaids as Disney princess characters.
Even the vicar, Father Alan Parkinson, got in on the act - dressing as a bishop for the ceremony.
