BUDDING photographers from Sheffield and Chesterfield are among a group of Northumbria University students who raised more than £5,000 to help stage an exhibition of their work.

Growth areaTHE language of flowers provides the theme for this year's summer exhibition at Cannon Hall Museum, near Barnsley. Visitors can discover the meanings of flowers and, thanks to a loan from the Trustees of the Cooper Art Gallery, a number of special paintings will be displayed. The exhibition opens on Wednesday and runs until August 31.

Drench a vicarFAIR visitors can drench a vicar, hook a duck, and buy bric-a-brac in Bakewell on Saturday July 12.
