A SHEFFIELD man accused of murdering a city teenager in an gang feud killing also stabbed the 17-year-old a week before he was shot dead, a court heard.
Michael Chattoo, aged 21, a member of the S3 postcode gang, stabbed Tarek Chaiboub with fellow gang member Javan Galloway.
They held him responsible for passing on information which led to a serious stabbing attack on S3 associate Junior Liversidg
e, also known as Bam Bam, Sheffield Crown Court heard yesterday. Chattoo's friend Clare Peterkin told jurors Chattoo, who is also known as Mickey B, owned up to stabbing Tarek - known as GT - just moments after the knife attack.
She and a friend had dropped Tarek off at his house on Castledine Gardens, Wincobank, when Chattoo and Galloway got out of the same car and followed him.
Mum-of-seven Ms Peterkin, who lived on the same street as Tarek and went clubbing with some S3 gang members, said when Chattoo and Galloway got back into the car they were arguing and she heard Chattoo say: "What are you worried about, GT's dead." Chattoo said he had "shanked" the teenager.
She drove Chattoo and Galloway to Birmingham the following day and claims she heard Galloway say he still had the knife.
The men ordered her to stop her car while they hid it in woodland.
Ms Peterkin claimed when she asked Chattoo why he had stabbed Tarek he said it was a revenge attack.
"His reply was something to the effect that GT had set up Bam Bam," she said.
She also claimed he told her the attack was carried out on the orders of a man called 'Rocky', who he told her was in prison and was in charge of the younger generation of the S3 gang - a man the prosecution say is Nigel Junior Ramsey.
Ramsey, 22, of Andover Street, Burngreave, is alleged to have organised the hit from his prison cell using a smuggled mobile phone.
His brother Denzil Emanuel Ramsey, 20, also of Andover Street, Burngreave, Michael Jermain Chattoo, 21, of Daniel Hill Street, Upperthorpe, and a 17-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, are also charged with murder.
Nigel Ramsey, Chattoo and 20-year-old Javan Richard Galloway, of Nottingham Street, Burngreave, are also accused of attempted murder following the knife attack on Tarek.
The defendants deny all the charges.
The case continues.
