Sheffield death crash woman named

A WOMAN killed in a two car smash in Sheffield at the weekend has been named.
June Bryce-Stephen, a 56-year-old teaching assistant from Hillsborough, was driving a Nissan Micra when she was involved in a collision with a Honda Civic on thee A61 Halifax Road on Saturday night.

She had just entered the A61 from Lyminster Road when tragedy struck.

The driver of the Civic, a 22-year-old Sheffield man, escaped without serious injuries and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was still in police custody this morning.

Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the smash are appealing for the driver of an orange Ford Focus ST to come forward.

The car is believed to have been close to the Civic at the time of the smash.
