FIRST buses in Sheffield started running a limited service on selected routes this afternoon - but the Lyceum panto is off. Oh yes it is!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been called off after a power cut at the theatre.

A spokesman said telephone lines were still down, but that all audience members will be contacted in due course to arrange full refunds.

Roberts Road, Balby, in Doncaster, is also closed at its junction with Little Moor Lane, due to a vehicle obstruction.

Ok. I don't blame them. They're putting safety before profit by doing this. Good on them.

However, why are other companies that operate fleets still sending out their drivers?

Just to clarify my 1st comment:

Why are companies that operate fleets that supply things that can be obtained locally on foot such as tea (Ringtons, etc), shopping (Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury, etc) and non-essential services that could be carried out another day such as meter reading (Meterplus), still risking lives by sending their workers out to drive in these conditions

Parents that speak to their children like that should not have the privilege of bringing them up.
I am a postman and managed to deliver a bag today. i love snow and i really enjoyed it. Hearing things like this, makes me sick.

It's a shame that woman was using such language to her kids because they'll be the same, maybe worse, when they grow up and so it goes on. It WAS her fault, anyway for taking them, so young, out in this weather. I hope the poor girls are somewhere cosy and warm now. Poor things. I agree with bottletree. (Except we've had no post today, but I'm definitely NOT moaning!!)
